Our Team
Our dedicated team of enthusiasts
Antonio Almeida
Antonio, our faithful vineyard manager since the beginning of the adventure. He also manages the dozen or so hectares of the Cave La Romaine. So he's obviously a great expert on the Flanthey terroirs, which hold no secrets for him.
Christian Gellerstad
Christian Gellerstad was born in 1968 in Götheborg, Sweden. A financier by training, Christian is passionate about vines and wine, and has long been convinced of the extraordinary potential of Switzerland's terroirs and wine-making expertise. Christian sees his collaboration with Clos de Tsampéhro as a unique opportunity to live this passion to the full.
Joël Briguet
Joël Briguet, born in 1967 in Valais. Trained at the Ecole d'Agriculture de Châteauneuf, then at the Ecole de Viticulture et d'Oenologie de Changins. Founder (1989) and owner-manager of Cave La Romaine in Flanthey. La Romaine now cultivates a dozen hectares of vines, vinifies 24 different grape varieties and produces 20 different cuvées, with a total output of around 100,000 bottles. The estate has won numerous awards in national and international competitions, and is also part of the Mémoire des Vins Suisses with its red humagne 'Les Empereurs', twice awarded the Etoile d'Or du Valais in succession (2010 and 2011).
Uncompromising work in the vineyard and limited yields are the hallmarks of the spirit of Joël Briguet, the 'artisan winemaker'.
